Assembly Themes
At Birkby Junior School, we celebrate all religions, faiths and festivals. We also like children to be kept up to date with news, locally, nationally and internationally. Due to this, we have themed assemblies each week, which focus on an event or festival that is happening in the world that week. Some dates are subject to change depending on current affairs.
In addition to this, our Monday and Tuesday assemblies focus on moral themes/stories, being a good British citizen, keeping safe and school rules. Attached to this page is a summary list of our special assemblies.
We also have a whole school singing assembly, which rotates between Wednesday and Thursday for different year groups.
On Fridays we have our celebration assembly, where we celebrate good work or effort within school that week.
